As usual, the programming is exciting on the side of the Image Forum with a particularly rich Animated Cinema Crossroads. This 20th edition (already!) will this time run from November 22 to 28. The ticket office is already open, and AnimeLand is obviously a partner of this lovely program.

Poster for the Carrefour du cinéma d’animation 2023 (detail)

The poster for this anniversary edition is signed Benoit Chieux (director of Sirocco and the Kingdom of Drafts) while the guest of honor is Liu Jiana Chinese painter and director who stood out with his uncompromising film Have a Nice Day (which we were able to see in Japan in 2017).

Concerning Japanese animation, there will be something to do with some classics (Memories, Souvenirs drop by drop, Cowboy Bebop, the film) but also little pearls starting with the latest project of Rintarô (Harlock 78), Nezumikozô Jirokichi (presented by M. Ilan Nguyen). Finally, the film The Tunnel to Summer from the excellent Tomohisa Taguchi (Akudama Drive, Digimon, final season of Bleach) will also be screened.

Other highlights await you: stop-mo’ with the Pinocchio of Del Toroclassics with The Wild Planet (which also benefits from an exhibition) of Rene Lalouxa Focus on the making of animation (with pieces from the studio damn it), the screening of several Gobelins short films…and many others!

Follow the program!
